What is it ?

Cine Pas Paris is a DIY Open-Air cinema that is operated on a rooftop of a building in central Athens. It operates during summer and its purpose is to promote cinema and culture among locals. It started as an idea after the pandemic in order to socialize and gather around a big screen. It later evolved into a place that hosted stand-up comedy, short movie nights and a movie festival at the end of the season called ‘Koukaki Film Festival’ (Koukaki is the district it is located), where a movie would be screened every Sunday for the month of September with themes such as the evolution of cinema from the 90’s up to now.
While not a conventional technology project, it shares some very important aspects with such. It brings people together and emphasizes on human-centered connection and from the organization’s perspective it teaches what it takes to promote your ideas organically.
The participation was around ~40 people

My role & work

Well, I was practically Cine Pas Paris. I did the set up, the marketing and graphics for the events. For the marketing part, I designed and printed posters and later, tickets for the Film Festival. All the necessary materials for the set up were either borrowed, made from scratched or bought.
Below you can see indicative graphic work about the event
